Why we chose to be an environmentally friendly auto body repair facility:
The federal government recently announced its Climate Change plan for reducing green house gas emissions. As part of the plan, the government has brought forward a regulation to reduce the emissions generated by automotive refinish coatings — the ones used by collision repair facilities — by 18 percent by the year 2010. The legislation took effect January 1, 2009.
We have therefore established our facility using the DuPont Cromax® Pro Waterborne Paint System which reduces solvent emissions by 90% compared to solvent based systems. Over 70% of the automotive assembly plants around the world already use this system, therefore, the coatings we apply to the vehicles we repair exactly match the OEM finishes applied at manufacture.
We were the second shop in Canada to adopt this system.

We made the move because it is the right thing to do to help protect the environment. Waterborne products dramatically reduce the amount of solvent and volatile organic compounds that would otherwise evaporate into the atmosphere.
