Choosing the right repair shop –
Ten things you need to know before having
your vehicle repaired
:

We know it's an upsetting experience to have your vehicle damaged and we sincerely hope that the occupants stayed free from harm when the damage occurred. The business of having your vehicle repaired and filing an insurance claim can be a hast le and we try to make it as easy as possible for you.

We are an Authorized Checkpoint Insurance Inspection Station, a service insurance companies rely on for accurate insurance claim verification and estimates.

In addition, we offer the following tips to keep in mind if your car or truck needs body work:

• Your vehicle is most likely the second largest investment that you will ever make. Be sure to preserve its value, as well as your own safety, by having the vehicle repaired professionally.

• Do not drive a vehicle that might be unsafe because it has been damaged. If it is not operating as it should, take it to a repair shop right away.

• An insurance company might tell you to visit their drive-in claims centre before you have your

vehicle repaired. The choice is actually yours, you can go to a drive-in claims centre, or you can have an appraiser inspect the car or truck at our facility.

• You are not required to obtain more than one estimate or appraisal on your vehicle. It's your choice how many estimates you obtain.

• It is your right to have your vehicle repaired at any auto body repair shop that you choose. Your insurance company can not require you to go to a body shop that's not of your choosing.

• Estimates on body work often vary. One that is lower may not include all the work that is necessary. If you are unsure about why one estimate is different from another, please ask us to explain it to you.

• Be sure to choose a body shop that has unibody repair equipment and has technicians that are certified by I=CAR or ASE, for example.

• Ask if the estimator if the body shop is including the use of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) replacement parts. If not, ask him to explain.

• Ask about the body shop's warranty on repairs.

Let us help you. We'd be glad to help you negotiate a claim with your insurance company.
